    Technology and Special Needs

Money from ads on this blog will be put in a fund for the development of software and related technologies for people with special needs.

    About

This blog is one of my on-line filing cabinets, open to the world, focusing on off-the-desktop natural user interfaces, interactive systems, interaction design, and user experience.

What is the interface? Real-world locations and public spaces (airports, shopping centers, lobbies, buildings, plazas, parks, etc.), educational or social networks and settings, as well as virtual worlds - simulations, games, VR, or augmented reality - just about anything humans interact with in their daily lives.

I blog about technologies, systems, and applications that support communication, collaboration, knowledge exploration/sharing, interactive information visualization, multimedia storytelling, creative expression, games, learning, planning and decision making, and accessibility.

This is the sister blog of Interactive Multimedia Technology

Check out the Resources section to find links to resources about multi-touch and gesture-based interaction & systems, related interaction and usability design, the open-source Natural User Interface (NUI-Group) community, Microsoft's Surface, HP's TouchSmart PC, Smart Technology's SMARTTable, and more.

For more in-depth information, check out my extensive resources page.
